December 28th, 2009… I have two degrees, a genius I.Q. and 4 years of medical training, but today I finally graduated from kittenhood.
I remember when I got a perfect score on the SAT’s at the age of six-cat-years, all of the other kittehs were jealous. They called me names, like “mouse” and “rat” and “mouse-rat.” At the time, I just felt like an outcast.
Years later, when I was graduating from Princeton University at the age of 10-cat-years, about to start med school, one of my professors asked me if, when it really came down to it, and I was tasked with having to save a rodent’s life, whether I would do it… or, you know, just bat the little creature around with my paw. I couldn’t answer him, because I didn’t know.
Today I started my residency at Kitteh General, becoming the youngest feline doctor in history, and things were going pretty much how I expected them to be going. I gave an elderly tabby a tongue bath. I calmed down a calico in shock who had just survived a chase with a German Shepherd. But then, on my first day in the ER, I came face-to-face with my old professor’s hypothetical scenario.
The tiny mouse lay lifeless in the ER waiting room. Everyone called to me for help. And even though I could smell the catnip in the air, I ran to the little creature’s aid. It was gruesome. It was also super cute, obviously, because I’m a little white kitten in hospital scrubs.
In the end, as I was giving that little creature mouth-to-mouth, frantically trying to breathe life back into its lungs, my best friend Vinny steps out of the shadows laughing, together with all of the hospital senior staff. It wasn’t even a real mouse, but just a toy. They were hazing me. Vinny thinks the whole scene would make a great t-shirt, but I don’t know. All I know now is that when faced with a patient in need, I jump to the rescue. Today I stopped being Princess Mittens Tiny Cat the Third, and I became Dr. Tiny Cat M.D.

We had a pretty big debate over captions, but there’s something neat about having a cute but cleverly understated shirt that will cause other people to want to approach and talk with you. This means you have a great conversation starter as well as a wicked awesome shirt all in one.

I HAS FOUND a POSSIBLE REASON FOR NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!!1! There is lots of paperwork involved, and who likes boring paperwork? Plus they’re probably veeery busy with looking through every Lol,FAIL/WIN, etc., they just haven’t got time.

I’ve just tried an order using one of the proxy services (there are several out there including shipito and various others).
Now have fingers & everything else crossed – if you go this route I STRONGLY advize using a PayPal account otherwise you’ll get into bother trying to enter the billing address.
I’ll let y’all know if it pans out OK – and also if it doesn’t!
Meanwhile I’m baffled as to why the cheez guys find it so simple to mail out certain items internationally (I have about 5 lolmart items myself including 3 shirts!) yet for other things it seems impossible. Duh!!

As far as International Shipping is concerned, Paypal can be arranged in a pinch until the “logistics” can be worked out with banks.
If it is your Credit Card Merchant then look into HeartLand. They helped me greatly.

Can we have international shipping you are breaking my heart :’( I would love to have bought soo many of your t-shirts but I can’t coz I live in the UK, especially Dr Tinycat as I am 1st year vet student. This makes me soooo sad, sadder than a kitteh in the pouring rain, sadder than a lolrus who’s lost his bucket. Do you not feel the collective pain of lol-lovers around the world who cannot fulfil their desire to proudly wear a genuine lolmart shirt? I’m certain that the site appreciates your interest, but please stop bitching about international shipping! The point has been made.
If the proxy service doesn’t work for you or if you don’t want to set up a PayPal account, consider asking a friend in the U.S. to order this shirt and then mail it to you (assuming that you have a friend who would be willing to do that).
Hopefully, international shipping will be available soon for your desired items… but in the meantime, at least avoid angry comments about this issue, since U.S. shipping only was not done to gyp non-Americans.
I think you are missing the point, if these shirts are limited editions as ICHC have specified both on this site and in an e-mail, non americans may never get to buy and wear any of these t-shirts. I think we have a right to be upset about the whole thing, I can only hope that if the international shipping problem gets fixed, then ICHC will re-run all of the designs currently available or there are going to be alot of unhappy people.
As for using a proxy service, this is an unreliable method of buying items with termination dates/time as reviews have stated that the service provider takes a FEW DAYS to place the order by which time, the item is no longer available.
Finally I do have a paypal account, as I am sure the vast majority of internet users do these days, but I do not have an american friend so that fluffs up your solutions slightly(!)
So I am going to keep “bitching” about it as should everybody else so that ICHC can see that rectifying this situation should be a priority.
